I finally got to meet my Grandpa Thompson last weekend. He and I were so excited that we didn't even get a good picture of the two of us. Mommy tries not to spoil me too much by holding me all day, but Grandpa couldn't care less. We cuddled all week, and I absolutely loved it!!! Everyone was in town for my baptism too, so I barely slept a wink out of someone's arms.
Three different shades of pink, even I know that that is a fashon no no. Mommy came home from the doctor to find me in this outfit. Who do you think dressed me in it? You have a fifty-fifty chance at guessing. A) Dad B) Grandpa
Mommy’s cousins were in town visit Great Grandma and they also came down to see me. We went out to eat and I was a good girl the entire time (as always)! Here I am with the Lindstrom crew.
I got my first visit from my cousin Avy today. She sang the ABC song and counted for me! She also picked out some books to read to me. I loved having her over! I also went to see the doctor for my two month check up. Everything looked good. Now I’m weighing in at a hefty 6 pounds 11 ounces, more than double my birth weight! On the way there Mommy didn’t tell me that I was going to get five shots. OUCH! Mommy can poke people with needles all day, but she couldn’t watch the nurse do it to me. I cried and cried, but after a few minutes in Mommy’s arms and some milk I was all better.
Mommy and I went to go visit Great Grandpa Len today. She forgot her camera so I don’t have any pictures with him. After she got home she felt bad so she got a little snap happy with the camera. Here is what she got…
Hmm, what should I do now... eat, sleep, poop, or cry?
I had some special visitors on Sunday; one of my cousins came down to visit me. Dylan also brought Aunt Katie, Aunt Brittney and Great Aunt Randi along. I was so excited to meet them. It was also a nice break for Mom and Dad because they had somebody else there to hold me! Dylan and me
The other night I had a bath in my real baby tub instead of my hospital tub. Movin' on up! I didn't stay clean for long though...I made a mess in the towel right after I got out of the tub. Since I've finally reached my due date, I can do all sorts of things I wasn't supposed to do before. I gave my bouncer chair a try...I spit up right after I got out of it, but I always do that so I'm sure it wasn't the chair. The toys and lights kept me very entertained...thanks Chantel!
I celebrated my second birthday of the year last Saturday, March 8th. It was supposed to be my due date...can you believe I've only been around for two months? It seems like forever! I'm getting to be such a big girl now. I've grown out of my preemie clothes, but Mom keeps trying to fit me in them because they're just so tiny and cute.
Mom took me on a special trip to visit my great grandparents. I haven’t had too many visitors because all my aunts, uncles and cousins have been sick and they have not stopped by to visit me. Hopefully they get well soon!
Mom and Dad have purchased a few new things for me since I arrived. They think they bought the stuff for themselves but I know it is really for me. Dad got a new deep freezer for all of his venison (yeah right) and Mom got a new glider rocker. She sure does like it, but Dad seems to be using it more than Mom! Before
Long time so see everyone! I have been busy getting into a routine now that I have been home for almost two weeks. Boy the time flies! I have been busy with the usual eating, sleeping, pooping and the occasional visit to the doctor to check my weight. All three of us went to see the lactation consultant today to find out that I have passed the six pound mark! Way to go Mom (and Dad). I also got to see some of my favorite nurses today. I sure do miss them, but I think Mommy misses them more!
